Haiku Haiku stopped displaying weather on home page

The weather area states "weather not available, check location settings"
The location is entered in the controller setup area (and it hasn't changed).
I tried entering another location with no effect.
This is on an iPad, the location services are turned on and Haiku is turned on too.
I refreshed the cache.

Any ideas?

This is a known issue. We use Google's weather API which may be going away soon or being moved. It appears its currently having technical issues. We're going to see if they get resolved or if we have to source the data from elsewhere.

How long do you think it will take to resolve this? I use the weather and a flag based on it to run my irrigation. Now it runs everyday because of the weather issue unless I manually control it.

Thanks,

Jason

We're working to get an update out ASAP. It should be submitted early next week, but will take some time for Apple to review as usual.

Does Haiku Helper work in conjunction with Haiku in order for the weather to update the rain flag? I got the Haiku update and know the Haiku Helper update is on it's way but my weather says rain, but my rain flag did not change at all. I purged the cache as well. Where is the weather getting its info from?

Thanks

I guess it's a Helper only feature. As far as I Know the only automatic actions done by Haiku on iOS are the triggering of the proximity detection flag and the pop up of a camera depending on a flag status.
We definitely need more (will be in my wishlist for the next version) but at the moment we ha e just that.

I updated HH but it doesn't seem my RainAdvisory flag gets turned on yet. I have checked the settings and reset the cache as well. I see you have to have more than .25 mm to have it turn on? Maybe the yahoo weather is more sensitive than google, which will be better. I used to have the flag turn on too often and it wouldn't rain but my irrigation would miss a day. I'll give it some more time and get back with the results.
