HDMI over Cat5 suggestions

Hi

I'm looking for suggestions on which hdmi over cat5 product to use. I have about a 70ft run to make between a cable box and the tv and thought I would ask everyone here to see what product they have had the most success with.

Key Digital is a good brand. Their HDMI solution is about $650 for both the receiver and transmitter. A less costly solution is Xantech who's receiver/transmitter pair is about $350. I've only personally used the Key Digital.

Key makes a good unit, i've also noticed that you seem to get a little better performance from units that use 2 cat5's.

I so HATE HDMI!

I am using a 75' HDMI cable from monoprice with no problems...although I was able to install mine prior to drywall, so it may be tough to retrofit depending on the application.

I agree, HDMI is a PITA.

Monoprice has this at an incredibly low price of under $20!!!!! Looks like it uses 2 UTP cables and it's suggested that you use CAT6 instead of CAT5 for increased distance, but at this price, it's hard not to pick up one just to test it!

I am curious on the Monoprice as well.

Sort of related as I'd like to run dual sources to a couple different outputs. Are these terrible in conjuction with a balun.

I have been using one of these (the 2.5 revision of it, they are up to 3 now i think) and it works without any problem for me. But I have read that some people have problems with certain equipment. It is one of those things you just have to try to see what happens.

For example, I have an appletv, computer, and two directv hd dvrs connected to mine. One output goes to a 4x1 hdmi distributor and then to 2 different tvs. The second output goes into my avr then out to to the tv.

I use a harmony one remote to make everything as seamless as posssible.
