Homeseer Speaking in different rooms?

Hi,

I am looking at using more of the "speaker' functionality in Homeseer. I do not have speakers (aside from laptop's in the house). I would like to put speakers in a few rooms (5 or 6) in my home with the ability to send messages to the separate zones. What is the best way to accomplish this goal? I am looking for a hardware solution that I could hook up to homeseer.

I saw the AB8SS but I am not sure if that is the right way to go.

I guess the "right way to go" depends a lot on your needs and your budget.

I have multiple sound cards in my HomeSeer machine and a Speaker Client for each sound card. I have a small amplifier attached to each sound card to drive the ceiling speakers. This has worked out pretty well for me although there are some potential issues involved in having multiple sound cards in one machine.

If you do not want built-in speakers then computer speakers can be real handy (and inexpensive) since they have an amplifier built in .
