Bedford, NH – HomeSeer Technologies announces the release of its new INSTEON™ basic software plug-in for HomeSeer v2.0. The new plug-in will allow users to control their INSTEON lighting devices directly from HomeSeer software.

With the new INSTEON basic plug-in, HomeSeer users can now integrate INSTEON devices into their total home automation network. The plug-in will also allow INSTEON devices to be controlled through HomeSeer v2.0 by devices from other leading industry manufacturers such as Leviton, Lutronâ„¢, Lightolierâ„¢, Centralite, Vantage, RCS, JDS, Global Cacheâ„¢, Onqâ„¢, HAIâ„¢, PCS, Simply-Automated, Intermatic, iAutomate (RFID), ACT, Z-Wave, and Smarthome.

The beta version of the INSTEON basic plug-in is available now and may be downloaded by any HomeSeer v2.0 user. The final release version will be available Jan 2006 and will be free of charge to all registered HomeSeer v2.0 users.

Wow! Free I dont believe it...
I think that HS was in need of some positive PR after the mess the initial release of 2.0 created!
