Also, if your washer has a light, I used a photo transistor to trigger an Elk-960 and you can use the relay contacts for whatever.

Thanks, but I want to use the ct-800 because I have an Elk M1 or Automation.

A fellow in the udi forums used a small magnet attached to the dryer vent flap and external contact sensor with his ISY994 system. IIRC he runs an Elk system with it.

So I have my CT-800 setup and working on my Washer, the ct dry contact is connected to zone 16 of my elk m1, I dont have any other expansion boards and I am using these Rules:

WHENEVER Washer Status (Zn 16)BECOMES NOT SECURE
THEN TURN Output 100 ON FOR 5 MIN, RESTART TIMER IF RUNNING

WHENEVER Output 100 STATE IS TURNED OFF
AND Washer Status (Zn 16) IS NOT SECURE
THEN ANNOUNCE Miscellaneous 3 (vm241)

But the elk m1 still announces every time the washer pause, can anyone please guide me as to what I am doing wrong, I have Kenmore washer its Maytag .
