How to reset address of M1KPNAV

Installing new M1G. Have a keypad and one KPNAV installed successfully. Having trouble getting second NAV (third keypad) installed. When I start up the system, the 2nd NAV starts up at the home menu and repsonds but will not open any menus or perform any functions. I expected it to start up at the initialization screen so I could set its address to 3. It appears that instead of it not being addressed, that it is set to address 1 and hence there is a conflict.

How do I check/change its address?

There is probably a better way but when adding other keypads I would remove keypad 1, add the new keypad, boot it up, change address and then add original keypad 1 again.

I did remove the real KP 1 and indeed the new KPNAV started up, but then I have no idea how to change it from address 1 to address 3! I know how to do that on the keypads, but I cannot find the way to do such on the NAV.

To reach the Set Keypad Address screen on a M1KPNAV press and hold the CLEAR key for approximately 15 seconds. After changing its address don't forget that you'll have to do an enrollment from another keypad, one that is already enrolled and working.

When I installed a new NAV on my system with 3 Keypad addresses being used, the NAV powered up with those addresses being used already greyed out. I selected the next available address and that was it except for enrolling it.

Okay, I just re-read all of the material that came with the KPNAV and the user guide and installation guide that Gatchel referenced (had downloaded and read them before) and cannot find any reference that holding down the CLEAR key for 15 seconds will allow you to change the keypad address.

I want to pursue this so that I am aware of as many sources of information on the ELK products that I can find -- that way I won't have to keep asking questions here!
