Humidity and Temperature problems

Hi there

Bought my Hobby Boards hardware just before Christmas. All installed and after a slow start, got Arne's software working. Really should read the instructions!

I have two problems.

1) The humidity sensor is reading 100%, all the time. I've tried parasitic power and external supply (19v). Neither seem to work, jumper on and jumper off. I restart the software every time.

2) The barometer temperature is always much higher than the DS18S20 temperature in the same location Within 2". (See Barometer temperature vs Inside Module at http://weather.no-ip.info/weather.html)

Can anyone help please?

The hardware is running W2000 and Henriksen software, serial port connector DS9097U, independent DC power supply, located in an airy shed, there are two extra DS18S20's, AAG Weather station, barometer, humidity, lightning and rain gauge, all the sensors daisy chained. The results can be seen at http://weather.no-ip.info/weather.html.

Hope someone can help?

Paul,

1. Are you sure that you have the correct ROMID being used for the humidity?

2. I would not use the temperature from a DS2438. They have known issues with self-heating and are not factory calibrated.

The reported sensor is DS2438, serial number 19000000B6504026.
VAD=4.75v, max=4.75v, min=4.70v. VDD=4.99v, max=4.99v, min=4.99v. Vsens=1.00v, max=1.00v, min=1.00v.
When I get home on Saturday, I'll plug the humidity module in seperately and see what I get.
(This information has been retrieved remotely thanks to TightVNC!)
Thanks

Thanks for that.
I stopped Wserver. Ran the One Wire Viewer and saw there were two DS2438 sensors. I have now swapped them ROM id's and the humidity is now indicating 92%. Which is about right as it's pouring with rain at home. The barometer value has gone up, but I don't have the voltage values to hand to reset.
I'll watch it over the next couple of days and report back how it's going. Pretty cool, all done across the Atlantic and 250 miles from home.
Cheers
Paul
