I accidentally blew out my HAI omniPro II by wiring "switch" to transformer wire. Shame on me for not paying attention... but the last thing that was displayed on the console was something like "fuse trouble". Now it doesn’t work completely. It’s only two month old. Any one has any suggestion what I can do to get it working? Please help i'm very upset by my action. thanks

So do you mean you had the transformer on a switched receptacle? Or did you somehow get 120V directly to the board? If so it's probably beyond fixing.

Uptito,

I'm an E.E. semi-retired, in Dallas. I repair a lot of Crestron, AMX, Jandy equipment. I'm sure I can fix it reasonably but if I can't, I won't charge for looking at it. This is more of a hobby for me. Hopefully, some traces acted as fuses and burned up. Send me some close-ups of the damage.

That's not the whole story. Having the transformer plugged into a switched receptacle will simply turn the AC power off to the OPII when switch is turned off. That won't cause any damage. There must still be some other wiring error.

I sent to the controller to HAI and they repaired it under warranty. They said the cause was NO power on unit and they replaced some components on the unit. Now i got it back and everything is working fine. Thanks everyone!
