Wow you are saying the company that is making it downplayed it. I wonder why they would do that if they want to sell them? So you are saying you feel the SH Outlet Link is a superior product to this then?
I wonder it its the same one since its already in a catalog yet its not released yet.
Well, maybe it was because this is an installer show, but they recommended their higher-end model instead. They indicated this was in their consumer line, so it would have a limited # of features, no 2-way communication, etc. They didn't seem very familiar with it, and kind of brushed it off. I said "I assume it is still controllable by your pro line of swiches", and they said yes.
I can't see why it wouldn't be perfectly fine, but I'm not familiar with what feature limitations there might be.

Does it have a feed-through to control downstream outlets?
No - it has a 3-wire hookup - power, neutral, ground.

Pigtail, just like other Insteon devices.
Doesnt UL498 (the UL Standard for receptacles) require that a 15 A rated receptacle having leads that the leads be a minimum of 14 Awg (including the ground)? These receptacles have 16 awg leads for hot and neutral and 18 awg for ground from the advertising but maybe the website is just inaccurate.
Then again they are not UL Listed so I guess they can do whatever they want.

crap... I like my SH dual controlled outlets with the blue downstream wire..... have them outside controlling standard outlets.....
