IP camera digital out to HAI panel

Hi, just wondering if anyone has used the digital out option on an IP camera to trigger a zone on an HAI or similar panel?

I've attempted doing this, but the loop doesn't seem right. With the DO set to NO, I get a value of 187 with a 1k resister in series and I see a change of only 1 or so when the camera is motion triggered. Should I be using a sensitive relay instead of going straight to a zone input?

The DO may not stay latched long enough for the HAI to detect it.

What camera?

Cameras are Geovision GV-VD320 and GV-BL320.
