I have the apps for both the iphone and the mac desktop running but the iphone does not get notifications
I use the public ip (22.144.xx.xxx) on the iPhone and the local ip on the controller (192.168.x.x). but the iphone does not receive any notification popups
I forwared port 4369 to the local ip of the hai controller.
I have the iphone notifcations set to "alerts and on. and on for sound, badge, and view in lock screen.

Is there something i am missing?

thanks

Is your Mac running HaikuHelper and connected to your controller?

- make sure your Mac does not go to sleep mode

- check that the name of your controller is exactly the same in both Haiku and HaikuHelper.

- check that you have Push Notifications enabled on Haiku on your iPhone (look at the bottom of the About tab)

If you see that Push Notifications are disabled on your iPhone, tap Status > Top right Books button > Edit > Your controller > scroll down and set Push Notifications to ON.

Also make sure you have enabled push notifications in HaikuHelper. You can use the "send Test Notification" button in HaikuHelper to test.

Hi ANd thanks for your response
1: Yes my mac on the same network as the hai controller is running haiku helper and it is connected to the hai controller. This mac gets the popups and I can launch the web interface also
2: mac does not go to sleep ever.
3: Yes I confirm both names of controller are exactly the same on both the haikuhelper and the iphone app. (is there a place on the HAI controller itself where this name should be programed using pc access software?
4: Push notifications confirmed "enabled"

And just do I am clear on what IP address to use on the iPhone, I am to enter the public IP address of my router. On the router I forward port 4369 to the internal IP of my HAI controller (192.168.xx.xxx) , is this correct or should I be using the ip address of the mac running the haiku helper?
I have no issues controlling the HAI OMNI Pro II from outside the home using the iphone.

The address does not affect push notifications. As long as you can connect to the controller, everything should be fine. Please go over all of the points I've mentioned in the earlier post. One of them must be off. Have you checked that push notifications are enabled in both Haiku *and* HaikuHelper? Have you tried sending a test push notification?

Finally got this to work. I just deleted the app and reinstalled it. I have no idea what was causing this issue to my one iphone 5.
It worked fine for another iphone 5 and a 4 so it was something with my iphone5.
thanks for your help
