Keypad Disarm Issue (M1G)

I'm experiencing a bit of a weird issue in disarming my system with the keypad. I can't say if the issue had been around for a while or just started because not until recently have I been using my keypad to disarm. At this time I only have a single KP2 connected to the system.

What happens is at night I will arm my system in Stay Instant mode. In the morning, only every so often, when I enter my 6-digit code the system will beep as it accepted it, but not disarm. I enter my code again and it disarms the system. The only other device on the databus is an input expander and my errors are somewhere around (1) per (3) days. The only other setting I have is an area 2 that is controlled by the arm status of the area which this keypad resides (area 1). However, area 2 is NOT armed during this issue.

Any ideas?

Yeah, i've had that too. It's like sometimes the panel is too busy to receive it. Usually if you wait a second or two it will take.

I've experienced issues if the number sequence is entered too fast, like an extra digit or similar happening, with the keypad acting confused. * then start over, chalk it up to being faster than the system in my case (still doesn't answer your question).

Do you mean after it beeps you don't do anything and after a few seconds it will disarm? You don't put the code in a 2nd time?

Yep. It usually takes on it's own after a delay. I also have other weird issues where my keypad resets itself maybe once or twice a year. So I may just have gremlins....

I'll try to enter my code slower to see if that makes a difference. I don't recall ever having to hit * to start over though as it goes right back to the default display after inputting the code - I would just enter it again.

I think I still have the "too fast" speed from programming hundreds of Vista panels over the years by hand, just carries over. I have experienced the occasional glitch, but I can't narrow it down.

Now the "flash" on the keypad thing with the firmware, that killed me until I found out about it, thought I was seeing something out of the corner of my eyes.

Another I see about once a year, is that you go to enter the code and not only does the keypad ignore you, but it totally locks up and doesn't accept any further key-presses. Have to walk to the other 1st floor keypad.

And DEL - not sure when the keypad flicker started, but I've noticed it for a long time now. Definitely annoying, but all my keypads are across a large space where I'm not close enough to notice that too often.
