I'm not sure where to post this question. My current firmware is 4.4.6 and bootware of 3.3.2. I noticed from Elk Product's website that they have a 2009 version of the firmware which is 4.5.20. Is it ok to jump from 4.4.6 to 4.5.20?

Thanks!

There should be instructions on the ELK website about the procedure to upgrade to the latest firmware/bootware. It is a read me .pdf available for download. I'm sorry but I don't have the information in my head.

like already stated.. read their readme's but there is a difference in numbering for elk wireless receiver and the Caddex receiver... I dont remember the difference but know which path you might go

The 4.x.x series is for GE/Caddx wireless. The 5.x.x series is for Elk wireless. If you don't have wireless, you probably want to stay in the same family. Just follow the Elk docs for the nitty gritty.

I've read about the wireless earlier from the pdf. And yes, I also download the 4x family. I would just like to make sure if jumping from 4.4.6 to 4.5.20 is ok or if I have to install other firmwares after 4.4.6 before I go straight to 4.5.20.

Thanks folks! :)

By the way, I was wrong with my bootware. I was only on 3.2.2. I found out when I did the update. I was wondering why it wants to update my bootware. :) I looked at it very closely then I saw the difference. LOL.

Anyways, it was a very smooth firmware upgrade.

Summary
1. Received All
2. Updated bootware
