Have a question about how lighting works and if it should, or is possible to be changed. Want to get opinions. I have a light that comes on at sunset to 50%. If a certain zone becomes violated I want that light to go from 50% to 100% for 5 minutes then return to its 50% setting. If I do a rule that fades the light to 100% for 5 minutes, after the 5 minutes it goes to zero. I am now setting an output to come on for 5 minutes and when the output goes off I will set the light to 50%.
My question is, is it possible, and does it make sense for a light to return to its current setting after a rule changes its setting for x minutes? That would allow it all to work with just the 1 rule and no pseudo outputs. I'm guessing the control knows the existing light level since you can access it.
