"M1 To Go" FREE software download

So I guess that means I can only login remotely via the WAN by using the secure connection...

I did not have to change any of my port forwarding that I have in place for my Elk Keypad Java App.
I am currently port forwarding 21,26,80,2601 (and 587 for my E-mail) to the 'outside world'..

Hope this helps..

I added 21 to the mix, and still no go. ????

Would only work for some of our panels, but once I upgraded the panel firmware the others seemed to connect fine. Still have a glitch with the temp sensors that causes it to crash when I click on it.

But it's a great improvement over the web interface and the fact that it's free compared to RMs is a huge plus. The only thing extra RMs gets you is video, audio, links, and weather. Not a huge deal for most people, since DVRs usually have a better interface. Audio would be a plus in a future version. Links and weather really aren't anything special for someone using this on their PC anyway.

Lou,
I don't know if jrobinsonii may have found a possible reason your M1togo isn't working as being version related?

My M1 firmware is 5.2.6 and the XEP has 1.3.26 with no issues.
I have a DSL internet connection with the firewall turned on.

Jrobinsonii,
I am not having any crashing issues with the temperature sensors other than one one that has been reported where initially the temperature shows N/A, then by clicking on the arrow to show the next sensor the temperature will show correctly.

Not that. I am already running the latest firmwares. Reading between the lines, I think Jrobinsonii was not getting any functionality, LAN or WAN until the firmware got updated. I only have WAN problems.

I just noticed one nice thing about the program. The custom settings are in hours/minutes/seconds instead of just seconds. I found it quite annoying that I had to have a calculator to do those conversions when working in Elk RP.

Jrobinsonii,

Same firmware that I have on M1 and XEP. Works on Lan but not on Wan

I apologize in advance for going over the obvious:

In M1TOGO, I setup a new profile name; entered in the WAN IP address of my system; checked the Use Secure Connection checkbox and entered in my personal M1 User code(already setup in RP) and saved the profile.

Going back to the M1TOGO Login window,I selected the profile name I just created then I entered in my username and password as listed within the EXP setup within RP system and it connects..

I can not login through my internet connection at work, since it blocks traffic over Port 2601... but home is fine...

That's a good point - most larger companies don't allow unrestricted direct internet access - instead they use proxy servers and firewalls that only allow specific types of connections. Smaller companies or friends' houses generally use something more similar to a home router that lets pretty much anything out.

I just got it to work. I don't know why, same settings and stuff. I used my dyndns url with only port 2601 forwarded.
