What causes a "common not armed" error message?

I only have area 1 as "area 1." The message is displayed on the keypad.

You have common area arming enabled under Globals G13 where one of the areas have been enabled to be a common arming area to area 1. This can be used for a group of doctors for example where each doctor can arm his office area and the lobby, which is area 1, is armed last.
