m1xep enrollment with kp2

This is my first time setting this up and I have the basics done. M1 gold setup, 2 zones are connected and working. The Keypad seems to work fine. I only have one keypad connected at this time. I am trying to add the m1xep ethernet adaptor. I have it connected via the serial cable. Power is supplied to it and I have a patch cable running from the m1xep to my router.

When I try to do "BUS MODULE ENROLLEMENT", I get "KP ADDR -> 1 LOST COMM". When it shows this I get a constant beeping about 1 sec. apart. After this it shows"01 BUS MODULES ENROLLED, EDIT".
If I press the right arrow, I get "KEYPAD ADDR = 01" and T1 is in top right corner. This screen makes some sense to me as it is shown in the installation and programming manual.
Finally I get "END ENROLLEMENT 01 BUS MODULES".

I'm sure this is something simple but I just don't see where the problem is occurring.

It is doing what it is supposed to do. When enrolling devices the keypad will show Lost Comm for a few seconds while all the devices are polled.

Press the "*" key to get back to the run mode. Make sure you have zones programmed for EOL or NC hardware zones and a jumper across the zone. That way you can get Ready To Arm on the keypad.

If you unplug your serial cable once your M1XEP is enrolled, does the keypad report "Ethernet Trouble"?
