Motion Sensor to Integrate with UPB

Hi,

I have installed some UPB switches on my main floor (X-10 is in the basement ;) ) and everything is working well.

I have two new exterior lights to hook up, and would like to add a dawn/dusk & motion sensor control to them.

I have a dedicated home automation server running that lets me coordinate between the UPB and X10 components, and this works fine. However, for the exterior lighing control, I would prefer to have a solution that will work independent of the PC server.

What are some things people have done with motion/dawn/dusk sensors and UPB components?

Thanks in advance.

You could use one of the plug in scheduler/timers and do it based on sunset/sunrise or other times.

Or

You can use one of the dry contact/voltage in modules and interface both a photo sensor and motion sensors to send links. Like an X-10 powerflash.

I pulled the motion sensor from a security light and placed it in a stand alone box.
When it detects motion the on signal 120VAC energizes an outlet with a 5V wallwart plugged into it.
The 5VDC from the wallwart is hooked up to one of the inputs to send a UPB link on/off.
