Mounting switches in HA can

Anyone know of an off-the-shelf product for mounting various types of switches (toggle, rocker, etc.) in a structured wiring enclosure (Elk, CV, etc.)? It needs to have a couple of inches under the panel for the switch and wiring. Pre-punched for different switch types. A keyway for toggle switches would be nice.

Or does HA imply that manual switches are not allowed in the can? ;)

Thanks,
Ira

Maybe others will know of another trick; but if it were me, I think I'd just buy a universal mounting plate, and find compatible switches (ie - not too deep) that I could just drill holes for. Or, if you want more depth, maybe get a project box (something like http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...ductId=2062279) and affix it to a universal mounting plate - and mount your switches in the project box. That would probably get you good protection for the back of the switches against shorts as well. In something like this, you could pretty much ditch the back plate and just drill screw holes in the right places on the mounting plate - and the box would be easy to dremel for rocker switches or switches with irregular shaped cutouts.
