I just replaced my aging AMX Phast lighting with Lutron RadioRA 2. I'm now looking for some very basic home automation to layer on top. Here's what i have:
Optionally, I'd like to add more complexity down the road:
I'm looking at HomeSeer, CQC, Micasaverde. Frankly, I'm confused by the options.
I don't mind paying a bit more for a better product, I'm OK with having a PC running (although if I didn't have to it would be better), and I enjoy configuring systems. Which way should I head?
Thanks for your suggestions.
- Lutron RadioRA 2
- RadioRA 2 Car visor control
- Sonos with hard-wired, in-wall speakers
- Monitored security system with Ademco panel
- Irrigation system
- Lock/unlock keyless deadbolts (most likely Baldwin/Schlage) with car remote, via iPhone, and via web
- Turn lights on/off with car remote, via iPhone, and via web
- Arm/Disarm security system remotely (car remote?)
- Install and manage this system myself
Optionally, I'd like to add more complexity down the road:
- More control of lighting + sonos for entertaining, etc.
- Conditional programming of lighting
- Ability to control irrigation remotely
- Ability to control HVAC remotely
