Need sage advice about Sage....

you should post this stuff on the SageTV forums; i'm pretty sure others have had difficulty with EPG data feeds, they may have some smart ideas.

So, I have Sage running on the cqc server.

1) How do I get it to run in service mode? Right now, I have to manually start it and it's an application that has a task bar. I want it working in the background.

2) If I want to run a sage client on my other PC (the one I'm on now, not the cqc server), then do I need a special client license for that? I have an extender license, but that only works for a single extender, right? What I'd like to do is be able to run a client on my PC here so I can test out some of the driver changes I'm making.

A) to run in service mode, there's a sageTV Service control app that gets installed. Run that, then you can "enable service mode", and "start Sage service".

B )yes, you need a Sageclient license.

I'll just do what I did before, which is install and run sage on my dev PC, so I can play with the client there. Won't be able to record anything, but it should be enough to get me by.
