Nuvo Essentia E6G IR repeater issues

I have a Nuvo Essentia E6G setup in my house that I am having trouble with the IR functionality for my Sony XDRF1HD. Pointing my Sony remote at a Nuvo Keypad I am getting the ir emitters for the Nuvo to flash, however it is not controlling the Sony radio. From what I can tell the IR eye is on the left side of the XDRF1HD, when I point the remote at it the radio turns on/off immediately. Trying to use the Nuvo supplied IR emmitters I'm getting nothing. Has anyone else been able to use the Nuvo IR repeater successfully?

Well after a few months of playing with this thing, I used a USBUIRT to find out that the IR blasters were flashing but not sending any IR codes. I found that the easiest way to fix this was to buy the Nuvo IR learning station. The Nuvo keypads have an IR receiver, but rather than pass the IR directly it converts it into data which is transferred. So once that gets to the Essentia the IR blaster flashes indicating that it is receiving a code, it cannot decode it however unless that specific hex code is programmed into your E6G and will not send any IR signal.

It's been a while since I did it, but I controlled an old Rotel CD player by finding the Hex codes on the web, and then you can paste it into the Nuvo software.
