OmniStat 2 issues - HAI staff, please look

Hi,

Can someone help me with some Omnistat 2 issues? I just got a new one, firmware 1.04

The temperature appears to be bouncing 1 degree up and down in F (or 0.5 degrees in C) -- is this normal? My older two OmniStat 2s did not do this (they had older firmware though). Its kind of annoying and I wonder if it affects the EEC etc. Should I get a replacement?

And second -- I'm trying to use the Energy Level feature to change the OmniStat's screen color, but changing the Energy Level to Medium, High or Critical on the controller does not update the thermostat -- its just stuck at Energy Level: Low and is backlit green. This used to work as well with my older OmniStat 2s. I'm testing using PC Access.

Can someone from HAI please respond?

Just noticed this: it looks like the new Omnistat 2 firmware (1.04 anyway) updates the controller energy level whereas the old firmware used to be the other way around: the controller updated the omnistat. Is there some way to get it to behave in the old way?

Does anyone have a FW 1.04 OmniStat 2 that doesn't have this bouncy Temperature reading as described in the original post? I've got mine being exchanged but I'm worried its the way the new firmware is coded?
