PC Access discontinued? How to update my firmware?

I have a system that came with a "snap link".  The firmware version is shown as Omnipro IIe 2.16a.  I would like to update the firmware but it looks like the software is discontinued.  Is there another way to update the firmware or is the software transferable such that I can purchase a used version from somebody so that i can update my system?  I think it is a little strange that I have to buy this software just to update the firmware, and i am open to suggestions.  I don't really have the need to program anything, but I wanted new firmware to use android application to monitor.

thank you,

I haven't used hai for a while, but last time I had to update firmware it was an eprom chip that had to be swapped. In my experience had nothing to do with pc access.

Snap Link is different than PC Access.
PCAccess is the controller setup, programming and maintenance package.
Snap Link is an interface to the controller.

The controller can't update firmware without PCAccess because it has no way to download, decompress and write the new firmware file autonomously.

To the best of my knowledge, PCAccess hasn't been discontinued.

If you have an older controller with 3 serial ports, then the controller firmware is update with a firmware chip which costs about $25. No software needed. If you have a newer controller with 5 serial ports, then PC Access can upgrade the firmware for free.  I doubt they would discontinue this software. I know Smarthome has discontinued carrying HAI products, and maybe that is what you are looking at.

PC Access is alive and well.

You have an older board, and you must replace your EPROM chip.
HAI was bought by Leviton and they dropped the HAI Logo, now known as
Levition Security & Automation.

It is an omni iie, I think. Has 5 serial ports. I have the pc access software now. I can connect, have downloaded all firmware, including foreign languages. I did that because it did not find it when I downloaded the one I thought I needed. I am now at 3.12. Thank you to all who helped.
