PC Access Software Dealer / End User ?

I've been researching HAI and ELk for a while now and have a question in regards to the PC Access software. What are the main differences between the end-user version and the dealer version? On the HAI website it states "It provides access to certain items that are normally set up by the installer and are not available in PC Access for End Users." What items are they talking about?

Thanks!

I think -- and an HAI person can jump in and correct me if I'm wrong -- that the dealer version allows you to set up all of the things are accessed from the console via the installer setup menu (pressing 9, entering the installer code, then pressing #). This includes the area and zone setup, and setting the UPB network number and password. The dealer version also allows storing and managing multiple configuration files, for dealers to service different accounts with.

Having bought the dealer version, I still can't decide if it was really worth the extra money. The multiple file capability isn't needed by the average end user. But I think it's useful to not have to go to the console to do zone and output setups, especially if you like to tinker with the system.

The end user version is limited so that the average user can make changes like renaming "Bed Room 2" to "Johnny's room" or change some of the automation scheduling but, it protects them from some of the more "technical" settings that can break things. If your system is setup by a dealer this is all you will need.

If you are doing everything yourself, you will probably want the Dealer version. The Dealer version gives you access to everything. You can setup all of the dealer items via the console, but using the Dealer version of PC Access is much easier.
