PC to select sources on whole-house audio controller

Does anyone know of an amp/controller to make this work?

Basically I want to use my PC or Mac to control a multi-channel amp/whole house audio controller. My house is wired for distributed audio and I want to use an iPod Touch in each room as a remote that via WiFi will control that zone's audio source and volume. Is there a head unit that will allow web based control like Control4 via non-legacy devices?

This seems like an easy thing to find but I have had no luck. Thanks!

Check out Girder from Promixis. It has web capabilities and can interface with a lot of different hardware. I use Netremote for my GUI front end with Girder 5 for my IR control and home automation. This is the basis for my Now Playing project which included a six zone whole house audio setup.

Also Homeseer has web interface access but I no longer use that.

Check out my showcase for details.

CasaTunes is something you should take a look at.

It provides PC integration with Russound and NUVO whole house audio controllers and has a nice browser based interface.

They also have an audio card available soon that can provide line-level singnal out to 6-zones for amplification.

CasaTunes doesn't interface with CD Players, cable boxes, etc. but offers playback control for Media player, iPod dock, internet radio. It will also control sat radio and am/fm radio tuners from Russound and NUVO.

Cheers,
Paul

Speakercraft is coming out with, if not already out, an iPhone interface for it's MZC system.

I don't know if it works with the iPod Touch or not but I would think so.
