PIR Sensor outside front door - non alarm notification only?!?!?

I am looking to place a PIR outside my front walkway to my front door and set it up on its own zone. I would like to create a rule for this zone to not set off the alarm and only send a text/email/notification to my cell phone. I would then pull up my DVR and see who is at the front door. Is this possible with the ELK M1 Gold and if so how would I go about it?

What kind of DVR do you plan to use?

notification is the easy part, the DVR would be standalone, so the usage would be limited to the remote functionality, network and bandwidth.

Thanks the DVR is separate and I finally got it working after using virtual server on my dlink router instead of port forwarding.

The PIR is in place but I am having difficulty getting email to work on the Elk M1 Gold. I've been on forums for a week straight trying different methods and still cant get it to work. Sigh....
