not to say I am going out to buy one today but I thought I saw somewhere around here earlier in the year where as by correcting your power factor you would save money.?.?.? Could this be another simlar type of device?

The way they make it sound is that it stores energy from power spikes and then releases the energy back as standard power.

Looks a little small for something like that.

AFAIK/IMHO, this device could correct your power factor and could lower your demands on the power grid. Unfortunately, residential power BILLING doesn't care about power factor, so it is impossible for this thing to lower your bill.
