Thought I'd toss a pic up of where the custom panel button work is going...a working Premise iPhone Remote...
Many things left to do. Navigation...keypad...and on and on. For navigation, I was wondering whether an image map might be the way to go? I haven't tried one before, but..

So far so good. Volume and mute work fine (duh! No suprise there!)...channel changing is fairly consistent. Wife wants 'jump' and a couple other features tossed in. (So I may finally be on to something!)

I have no idea how to answer your question, but the screen shot looks nice! Great job.

The only thing I might change is using tranparent images (assuming iphones support it), but I have no idea where to find transparent images like yours besides google or making them.

Would image map always work if you zoom in/out? I'm thinking you have to define an image map area in terms of pixels... So hopefully the browser can interpret things correctly if you zoom in or use an android phone instead of an iphone.

interesting...why a transparent image? I can prob create some, but not sure why I need them. Not sure about whether the iPhone will support them. The size of the images I currently have are fairly small, so load time is fast....

I did some preliminary work w/ the imagemap; so far, it looks like it will work. Transaction viewer proves the firemacros work; I'll have to check the zoom, but I don't see why it would change, given the referenced coords.

Although I'm tickled to make this progress, 123 deserves the credit by making this incredibly easy with the mini-browser rewrite. And as he explained, its just HTML!

I just like the look of transparent icons, but it's easier to see yours and they look more iphone like.
