Due to my recent Server Crash, subsequent purchase of new HW, upgrading the Integra to 40.3 (sweet machine!), and the addition of HDMI output, how do you configure MSense? Does it require a new module? The Audio to Receiver works, but if I'm streaming audio/video thru the HDMI interface, what's the config look like? Or do we need a custom device? If so, what would the best base be?

No, just keep the current generic structure in Premise.  An A/V receiver uses an AudioVideoInput object for each input that is described as "A device or channel that receives audio and video from a physical connection."  This still fits the definition of HDMI in my mind.

There is HDMI's audio return channel (ARC) feature, which I doubt you are using though.  However, since the ARC would happen automatically (depending on your TVs settings), mSense really doesn't need to be aware of it.  mSense will automatically align everything for video content (channels), so the ARC will take care of itself.

PS: Audio Return Channel (ARC) is a feature introduced in the HDMI 1.4 standard.  "Return" refers to the case where the audio comes from the TV and can be sent "upstream" to the AV receiver using the HDMI cable connected to the AV receiver.  An example given on the HDMI website is that a TV that directly receives a terrestrial/satellite broadcast, or has a video source built in, sends the audio "upstream" to the AV receiver.
