Prevent a zone from logging when disarmed?

System: OmniPro II, firmware 3,1A. I have a motion detector configured as an entry/exit zone. I've noticed that it logs an event every time it is tripped, even when the system is disarmed. Since it's a zone that we walk around in frequently when we are home, it really fills up the event log. Is there a way to make this zone not log events when the system is disarmed?

Entry/Exit Zones should log when they are "TRIPPED". The "TRIPPED" condition should only occur if the system is armed. So if the system is armed, AWAY, DAY, NIGHT, etc. and the zone is violated, it should result in a "TRIPPED" entry in the Event Log. If the system is not armed there should be no log entry.

Can you try this:

With the system disarmed, connect to it with PC Access 3. Download the event log so you have all the events. Note the time of the newest event. Go to the Zone status page and look at the status of the particular Entry/Exit Zone. Have someone walk through the area. You should see the zone status change from "SECURE" TO "NOT READY" and back to "SECURE". Download the Event Log again.

Did this generate a "TRIPPED" entry in the log?

Apologies for not getting back to this sooner... the problem stopped after I removed all power from the controller for a few minutes. (Had to; I was connecting another zone.) Looking back at the log, I think I may have had it armed to day mode the whole time.
