Programming MI Gold

We are building a house so I started to research home security and automation. I have decided that the Elk M1 Gold will meet my needs for the near and long term but I have a question about the programming of the system. If I buy the ELK-M1GSYS4 package with the Ethernet module (ELK-M1XEP) can I program it from my computer or do I still have to buy the remote management software for $150?

ELK-RM or ELK-RM2 is not needed to program. Elk-RP2 is the software you need to program and I don't believe there is a charge. It can be downloaded from Elk's website once you have the M1 serial number and you register.
