Prox Fob To Disarm Only

Hi,

I was trying to setup my M1 with a prox fob configured to disarm the system only (no arming allowed). I registered the "fob user" and configured that user for disarm only but I could still arm AND disarm the system with the fob.

I created a "normal" user with disarm only and that worked as expected - entering the user code would not arm the system but would disarm.

Are "prox fob users" special in some way that prevents a disarm only configuration?

Thanks.

Make sure you do not have single key arming selected. Try using the Access selection on the prox code.

I disabled single key arming and sure enough the prox fob now will only disarm.

While I understand the single key arming means no user code is REQUIRED to arm the system for a given area, I think that when a user code IS entered (as in this case via the prox fob) the system should still respect the settings for that user code. Is there any reason why it could not be done this way? It doesn't seem to me that it would conflict with still being able to arm the system via a single key press. The arm/disarm/etc options are per user whereas single key/double key/etc options are per area.
