If you don't know what a RepRap is you can visit www.reprap.org. Basically, it's an open source project to build a machine that can replicate it's self. The project has come a long way and at this point it can replicate most of its parts and the other parts can be purchased online and in local hardware stores. The goal of the project is to eventually build a machine that can replicate 100% of its parts. The idea is that if it can replicate its self then everyone in the world can affordably own a 3D printer simply by asking their friends to print them one.
