Restore Thermostat

Is there a way to restore an RC2000 via programming to the setpoints associated with the security mode?
For example, if I perform a setback operation and then later I want the thermostat to restore to the setpoints associated whatever mode the alarm is currently in, is that possible?


Obviously, I could simply set the setpoints to match whatever mode I am in, but then I need to keep the programming consistent with what the user sets on the thermostat.

If you use the "Occupancy" mode of the Tstat, the setpoints are stored in the Tstat.
As you change security modes the setpoins change.
If you manually or programatically modify the setpoints (for instance raise the heat point a few degrees at the Tstat because you are chilled), as soon as you change security modes they will go to the correct setpoints. When you disarm the system the Tstat will revert to the saved setpoints and discard the manual changes.

The Tstat saves setpoints for Day, Night, Away and Vacation. It uses the Day settings for Off mode.

Wanted to reopen this topic because it was different than the other one.
After I perform a setback operation using programming blocks, is there a way to instruct the thermostat to return to its preset setting for whatever mode it happens to be in?

For example, if my thermostat is operating in occupancy mode and is currently in the day setting, which has a cool setpoint of 78 and a heat setpoint of 70. I then use programming blocks to change the setpoints to 85 and 62 respectively. Is there any method from within programming blocks to request the thermostat "restore" its temperature settings to whatever it has for whichever mode it is currently in? In this case back to 78 and 70?

I think you can "arm" again and it will make the transition.
Sometimes when I leave the house, we're in Day mode, and my wife is still home.
So I arm Day when I leave and I get the "Arming" notice on the console and all the zones are open to allow me to leave. then it goes back to Day mode after the arming delay.

So try sending an ARM OFF command (when you are already Off) and see if that resets the setpoints.

Send the ARM OFF Command does not seem to reset the setpoints.

Maybe OFF is a different case than the other arm modes.
I'm betting when you arm a mode it is in the "OFF" mode logically during the countdown because none of the zones trip.
So if it is OFF and you tell it to go OFF there is no change.

Have you tried sending a Tstat MODE AUTO command?

Or maybe a Tstat MODE OFF followed imemdiately by MODE AUTO?

If that doesn't work,

Maybe you send ARM NIGHT followed immediately (consecutive lines) by ARM OFF to generate the transition.
