smokes & pir's for ELK M1

For those of you who are ELK experts, I was wondering if you have specific models of wired smokes and motion detectors? I am setting up a system with both wired and wireless zones. For the wireless, I guess I'll use the GE crystal products, but there seems to be a large selection of wired items on the market. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

My house already had interconnected smokes made by BRK. So I bought the BRK relay which installs near one of the detectors and connected to an input on the ELK. It doesn't tell me which smoke is going off, but it will set off the alarm. Doesn't work if the power is out there because it requires 120V to run.

As for PIR's, I went with someone else's suggestion and bought the Bosch Blue Line detectors. They are about $10 each for PIR only, and $40 for the TriTech model that has microwave and PIR. I use the TriTech units outside after waterproofing with some silicone and weatherproof tape. It's cheaper than buying a unit that's made for outdoor use, and both the PIR and microwave have to trip to set it off, so a blowing tree or bush is unlikely to cause it to go off. The outdoor ones are only set up to alert me to someone creeping around outside, they don't actually set off the alarm if it's armed.
