Haiku Space Questions/Troubleshooting/etc

Hi Lupinglade,

Thank you for the update. Unfortunately, I had to revert as the cameras don't work with this version; reverting back and all was well.

I confirmed all settings: Toshiba IP cameras set to JPEG. Works on the prior version but on this update the cams say either "offline" or "time out". I also have a Panasonic IP cam and that one works fine on both versions.

Any ideas?

Many thanks,
Jcd

This newest version is a nice improvement. Just adding the labels to the icons is a big plus!

I did experience a problem with the cameras, but I'm not quite sure how I triggered the problem. I tapped the Edit button, and I think I might have then exited Edit mode, but I'm not sure. I ended up with two copies of most of my cameras. The only cameras that *should* have been there are the ones Space picked up from the OmniPro II. I had to manually delete all of the copies.

I've also noticed that sometimes after going into the camera Edit function some of the camera views will flash between two (or maybe more) different cameras. In other words, it will display the video from one camera, and then a frame or two later it's showing an entirely different camera. It cycles through the various cameras non-stop until I leave the camera view and go back into it. It's not something that I can replicate easily, but it has happened several times. I'm not sure that it's new to the latest version... I think it happened in the prior version as well. Most of the camera views aren't cycling when this occurs... it's only one or two of the windows that cycle through different cameras.

Finally, this is minor, but if you go into Edit in cameras, click the + button, then Cancel, it saves a new camera with no settings initialized. When it does this it displays one of the other camera views in the window for the New Camera, but when you exit and re-enter the camera view it then recognizes that the camera isn't set up and displays a blank window.

And one request... it would be nice if I could re-order the cameras to display the windows in the order I want. Right now it seems like it's somewhat random how it arranges the windows.

Thanks.

See if this is likely why you're winding up with "empty" cameras:

After editing a camera, if you forget to tap the "Done" button and instead instinctively tap the upper left corner (to go back) where the + is
  • I accidentally added a new camera.
  • so I tap the "< Cameras" button to cancel out of the camera setup screen (instead of using the "Remove Camera" button at the bottom of the setup screen.)
  • now I have an empty camera entry.
Hope this workflow helps.

Since updating to the latest version my iBeacons are no longer working. I have tried deleting them then re-adding but no go. I don't see the 'tick' when any of them are in range anymore. Is anyone else having this issue?? Thanks Scott

Fix coming shortly!

I have just added new 'rooms' in my OmniPro extended setup but when I view them in Space after refreshing the config each room shows a second line with 'LIGHTS OFF'. The first line has the room name I set. If I view the rooms in Snaplink I don't see a second line with 'LIGHTS OFF' only the first line I set.

Very confusing as I don't have any LIGHTS setup in the Rooms, only Buttons & Temps. I have a Room created with 'Appliance Modules' e.g. Pool Filter, Air Con etc so showing LIGHTS ON/OFF does not make sense either. Maybe the generic word of 'UNIT' will make more sense.

Can you please make a change in future release not to show 'Lights/UNITS ON' when there are NO units configured in a room. Thanks Scott

Version 1.05 currently.

Security Access (Door Lock) issues.
1. 4 digit limit on user access code to lock or unlock the Z-Wave lock. Yale YRD-220-ZW allows 4-8 digits.
If I set a 4 digit code in the lock, it works with SPACE. Should be able to have more digits for better security..

2. To lock or unlock a lock one needs to click on SECURITY from the main page, then on the lock's Icon, then a smaller window comes up with two options,
     Timer and:

* If the lock is LOCKED you can only press UNLOCK, if the lock is UNLOCKED then you can only press LOCK. Press one of these and you get a not needed, extra click window that gives you two options to click on, Enter Password or Cancel.  This window should be eliminated as you can click Cancel from the password keypad window next. Just go directly to the keypad.

3. Once the lock is Locked or Unlocked it takes forever (2-10 mins) for the icon color and status to update.  This maybe an issue with how the OmniPro II handles the Z-Wave status, not sure.  The problem here is that if the lock has just been LOCKED but is still reporting UNLOCKED there is no option to Unlock it...and of course the reverse. (see 2*)  (I hope this is not confusing....)
Again, not sure SPACE can do anything about this put wanted to list the issue.

Thanks
