Haiku Space Questions/Troubleshooting/etc

1) The iPad (the only one I have for now) for the one and only controller I have has "Touchscreen 0" in the Omni controller settings (with no way to change it)
2) In the Omni Automation, touchscreens start their numbering sequence at 1, not 0. So I can't select Touchscreen #0 on which to display a camera on the iPad screen.
Tap this field and you can enter the Touchscreen #. Touchscreen 0 means it is not assigned a number.
3) Also, the settings for the Action->Run Button don't always "stick." I.E. the button name gets wiped out or if I clear it doesn't always stay cleared. I haven't figured out exactly what steps causes this yet.
We're looking into this, but I think its only visual, the change is saved.
4) This camera has a maximum frame rate of 30fps. However I can only set it up to a maximum of 20fps in PCAccess. How do I tell Space to run it at 30fps?
Space will run it at whatever the FPS is set to on the camera itself.
5) Where is the camera info being pulled from? Is it from the setup within Space or from the Omni Extended setup section or some of both?
6) Under advanced setup in Space "Camera Type" is listed as "Extended Setup" and the field can not be edited.
This is correct, its because its imported from Extended Setup. This is not a changeable setting.
7) I entered the URLs of two Demo cameras at Foscam headquarters. When the camera screen appears the order of the cameras on the screen changes each time I access it. Sometimes the two Foscam Demos appear first, sometimes the local Foscam camera appears first.
This is probably because the camera # on those cameras is the same. You can adjust the camera # to change the sort order. Keep in mind camera #s 1 - 6 are displayable via the Show Camera command on the controller.

Unfortunately I still seem to be experiencing app crashes in 1.05 while accessing cameras. The load time is also extremely slow, whether in mjpeg or rtsp mode.
To elaborate, I can wait 30 plus seconds before I get any image from the camera at all, and then usually on or or two of eight, then if I open the camera to full screen it freezes and then crashes.
This happens when either using the settings from extended setup which work fine in Haiku or manually setting them in either rtsp or mjpeg

Similar problems here also. Camera interface doesn't appear very stable at the moment. (Foscams)

Lupinglade, I'm having constant issues with Space where I will send a unit command, it shows the unit on or off, but nothing really happens with the unit itself.

I can switch to Haiku and it works flawlessly.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2, OmniPro II with 3.14a.

Any ideas what might be going on?  I can post a video if that helps explain it better.

HLC UPB, using HAI modules.  Nothing else is going on inside the controller where the UPB command queue would be holding things up, and it's an instant response in Haiku.

All sort of unit numbers.  It seems fairly random.  However you did just figure out what they seem to have in common.  Non-dimmable units are the ones acting up.  Dimmable units seem to be working just fine.

@neillt: Use the On/Off blue labels (tap them) to turn these units on/off.

Update: I'm not sure if we can do anything about the dimming slider not working on a non dimmable HLC unit. We will look into it.

Well, that explains why me tapping the light bulb in increasing frustration didn't work.

I'll try the labels here in a few minutes.

I just want to reiterate what others have said, the #1 problem with Space vs. Haiku is that Space seems designed specifically for some kind of wall mounted panel application instead of more of a dashboard such as Haiku.

I mean, just look at the home screen as the perfect example. Why in the world do I need Space to emulate the iPhone lock screen and show me the date/time? For a wall mounted panel, that would be great, but as an App on my phone, really?

The date/time takes up half of the screen, the icons are equivalent in size to the date and time but why do I have to scroll to see them all? There's plenty of room on the home screen even assuming you leave the (unnecessary) date & time.

As others have said, the icons are so bland and non-informative. Not to mention that I have to scroll so much more to see everything.

I am honestly blown away by anyone that thinks this is a better UI. With the exception of the wall-mount tablet application, Haiku is superior in almost every way (the only exception is the camera view in Space which provides a live preview of all cameras, however clicking one (for me) crashes the whole application so there's that).

Sorry to be harsh, but I think you missed the mark in a big way on what people want and need out of this application (IMHO).

I am trying to figure out how to use Space for security purposes.

Haiku had my home separated into the following:

Entry/Exit - A list of all the entry and exit door sensors in the home - 14 items
Perimeter - A list of all the  windows sensors in the home - 20 items
Interior - A list of all the motion detectors in the home - 31 items
Auxiliary - A list of other related items (e.g. smoke detectors, interior doors, motion sensors for outdoor security lights) - 35 items

These look to all be jumbled in one long list in Space making it unusable.

I would like to be able to identify that all the Entry/Exit and Perimeter items are secure and arm the system. How do I accomplish this in Space?

At other times I would like the Entry/Exit and Perimeter and some of the Interior motion sensors to be secure to arm the system. How do I accomplish this in Space?

One other major issue. I live with my elderly in-laws who must use the system. They cannot figure out what is what in Space. There are no identifiers to help them navigate the system. They do not understand the icons. They cannot figure out where to go in the interface to do what they want to do. They don't understand that some icons are not even visible on the home screen and that they need to swipe to search for them. It is complicated by the fact that they cannot understand what is being presented on any of the screens. They need words to help them navigate the interface.

Arming and disarming the security system needs to be really simple for them to be able to use it.
The ability to control lighting needs must be really simple for them to be able to use it.

They are very confused by Space and cannot use it.

I appreciate the help, both for myself and for my in-laws.
