i have a panasonic analog phone system with front door bell and speaker. i run Homeseer 2.2. How can i talk to front door speaker when I am away. HS sends me an email when doorbell rings... would like to be able to talk to it so i can tell delivery guy to "leave package please" etc etc. is there some kind of ip solution? Thanks!

Don't know about Homeseer but if you use a GSM cell phone this will do it.... although it's pretty expensive!

I think the biggest challenge is to get the delivery guy to wait around while the system is dialing your cell phone. You really need way2call to answer the panasonic door box and have homeseer say something to get the guy to wait around for a minute. Then it needs to flash to put the speakerbox on hold, grab an outside line, dial your cell phone, and conference the door extension to the outside line. Kind of a complex sequence.
Another option is one of those doorbell devices like they have on apartmens. they are basically just an autodialer connected to a door box so when the doorbell is pushed it just dials your cell phone immediately.
