Sprinkler System with Moisture Sensors

I have 8 zones on my irrigation system and I am looking for a smart controller where I can possibly bury some sensors to ensure I am not over or under watering. Hoping the sensors can tell specific zones to turn on/off. Would be even nicer if somehow it was integrated into my elk or HomeSeer. Any ideas?
