System Choice advice?

My home currently has a Ademco/Honeywell (4110DL/4110XM) system.  Installed by the builder.

I would like to upgrade my system with a new system that will make use of the current wired zones/sensors but allow me to add  new wireless sensors (initial install was kind of strange as some first floor windows have sensors and some do not).

I will be using an outside monitoring service, but also want email updates and some smart phone ability.

My initial thought was to get the "Honeywell Vista 20P" hoping that using the same maker would make it much easier to put in place...more plug and play .. unrealistic I know...but hoping  (BTW what is the difference between the 20p and the 21iP?).  I have recently also looked at the ELK and DSC
(one more expensive and less expensive).

Current system does work fine, but I want more areas covered and more up to date features.  Looking to add cameras and some home automation in the future which may or may not be part of the new security system.

Thanks in advance.

21ip adds broadband support, same features as 20p.

If you are doing automation in the future, go with the Elk or an HAI...Honeywell does have some automation features and products, and smartphone integration, but you must have an Alarmnet total connect service for the smart phone (usually added costs). There are wireless versions of both vista panels, as well as wireless built in to some of the keypads...ip video surveillance cameras are also available from Honeywell. It is not really automation as much as it is home control...all systems are independent of each other, but call all be controlled from one app.

Zone expanders could be added to your current system if all you want is more zones.
