Thermostat replacement suggestion

Looking to replace my regular thermostat with something controllable via Homeseer. Had an RCS TR40 at the old place, but left it there. I do have an Omnipro controller but will likely just tie into Homeseer as the Omnistats are hard to find at a decent price and I read they are flakey. I am leaning towards a Z-wave model. Something like the Honeywell T6 Pro - TH6320ZW2007. I have a Carrier heat pump which is currently connected to a Vive Comfort TP-S-855C thermostat. Current thermostat configuration shows 2H2C stages. I have attached a picture of how it is currently wired. The W & W2 terminals are jumped, which I assume would be the heat strip backup. Would the Honeywell work? or any thoughts or other suggestions?

I installed two Honeywell T9 units for my upstairs and main floor heat pumps. For the upstairs I also purchased a remote temperature sensor as the t-stat was in the hallway and was influenced by the lower level temperatures in the winter. This thermostat can set the feedback temperature to this remote sensor (mine was in a bedroom).

I also got the large wall adapter.

I interfaced both with HomeSeer using the Shill plugin and created a nice HSBuddy control screen.

Here is a pic of the wiring before installation.

Here is how I wired the T9:

R Red
Y Blue
C Brown
G Green
Aux White
O/B Black

Make sure you select "O Wire" for the reversing valve question during installation.

I actually picked up 2 of the Honeywell T6 of EBay the other day. 1 for house and 1 shop which has radiant floor heat and remote sensor. It should handle it similar to what you mention. I am wondering if I will have to replace my Z-Troller. I have a ZNET G2 sitting which was the plan years ago when I bought it. I am finally on HS4 but still using the legacy Z-wave plug-in. Most my devices are old so really dont care to upgrade if there is no benefit. One of the main drivers for the thermostat is go get another temp and humidity sensor in the house to use to compare against (long showers). Can't find Omni Humidity Sensors reasonably priced.

OK, FYI, these thermostats interface via WiFi. I would highly suggest getting this mount as well, especially if you have a larger hole in the drywall from your old unit as I did.

I see. I got the T6 which is Zwave. I think the large plate is coming with it. Not 100% sure though. The existing hole isnt large, plus I dont mind patching drywall if needed.
