Thinking of not doing speaker wire to control

you can use an abus system as sub zone on the caa66. you would connect an A-BUS hub, power supply (A-PS) and keypads to either Zone 1 or Zone 2's Fixed Line Level output.
This will effectively allow you to share any source selected from the Main Zone's keypad and adjust the volume independently.

Wires are up and I elected to run the speaker wires by the controls when it was convenient and when I thought that area might be a subzone - these 2 parameters happened to coincide. I really just took the shortcut in the master bedroom and living room which will never be subzones.
