anyone looked at this? pretty cool. I dont like that its the ONLY monitor on the system. It takes the normal view screen and divides it up into up four or eight little screens around the house. I think once they allow dual monitor capability, this could be useful. The way it appears now, this system IS the only monitor so it looks like initial configuring would be a pain since the monitors are scattered. it will be nice once you can sit at the pc and look at a large screen and dual out the remaining four or eight.

This looks like it will be eventually a viable options on larger installs.

I've never seen anything that supports the little screens directly. I think you have to create your own custom interface that divides the screen up to support these.

mike, well thats crazy isnt it? you would think it would come with the software to support the screens. simple software that simply splits the screen. hmmmm, interesting.

couldnt you take something like mainlobby and build a screen in the right segments (8 "faceplates") and have the touchtronix video card simply split to the lcds? thats what i assumed the card did. but i really dont know.

It comes with a VB app that does the screen splitting or you.

But doesn't the interface you are using need to support the split screen format? I can't just take the default Homeseer screen and have a VB app cut it into 8 parts and end up with anything useful can I?

I did a review of this product when it first came to market.

There is an application for MainLobby where there are multiple instances of the MLServer running so one can create scenes that will accomodate the size of these devices. I played around with this application a little, then shelved it as I became a little frustrated with MainLobby back in that time frame.

You can always RD into the server if you don't want to see the multiple divisions of the screen on the main HA server.

brave, you're saying the "search" option on this forum has a purpose and it works? LOLOLOLOL.

thanks bud.

well it looks like the touchsreens didnt get much attention. wonder if it was a bust.

Cinemar worked with Dwayne a long time ago and created easy means for MainLobby to support the multiple small touchscreens of the Rad I/O. I think the software install is available on Touchtronix website. I have it if any MainLobby customers need it. I have the system in my house, albight no installed in daily usage. Right now just for testing.

They work pretty good and are a nice solution if you want touch screen in alot of rooms. Yes they are smaller but they can still be useful with an optimized interface. CQC also supports them.
