VIA announced that it will be selling a new product line soon: the Pico-ITX board. It measures 3.9 x 2.8 inches, is MUCH smaller than the already small Nano-ITX boards (which is much smaller than the current mini-itx boards to begin with), and will have an integrated 1 Ghz cpu. This would make a great back-end for a touchscreen setup.

Hopefully it'll spur some the growth of some more portable and wall mountable touch screen units. Seems like you could do a quite compact touch computer for wall mounting with that, which would have more than enough oomph for a good client, no fans, and good graphics.

For a small system it would be ok. Effectively it's the same kind of system I used (in mini-ITX form) as my theater control system for a long time, just shrunk down. I woudln't use it for heavy server duty.
