Finally took the time to install the latest beta of LongHorn/Vista. It really isn't that impressive, it looks like they are focusing more on graphics/display. I guess I will have to spend some more time with it.

I skimmed (actually, even less than a skim) through a preview in the latest PC Magazine (it's the cover article).

It sounded like most of the technical innovations they were talking about including have been removed (file system, scripting, etc.). The results look like an update to XP's GUI.

Maybe if I actually read the article there would be more to it.
