I just got a new 50" 1080i Vizio brand plasma TV ($1,800 at Sams Club). So far I love it.
Here is the problem: Ideally I would like to tie the TV in my HA system via serial control rather than IR control (if possible). The TV has no standard 9 pin serial port, but it does have 2 RJ-11 or RJ-45 type "service" ports. From searching Google, it kinda seems that maybe the TV COULD be controlled via these "service" ports (as I understand it they are indeed serial ports).
My question is, does anyone know if this is possible and what the serial codes are to control a Vizio model P50?
