For your first question, yes - there are a few sensors that accept external contacts - you can use them for anything - water sensors; contact sensors, etc. The GE NX-650 is one.
As far as making a keypad wireless, not really... at least not a native keypad. You could use an iPad or Windows CE device with Wifi, but will still need to get power there. How bad would it be to get wire where you want it? Almost anything is possible with some effort.
