Wireless controller

I have a wireless remote I use to turn on/off my dehumidifier. The issue is I'm going through batteries every six months or so. The remote takes a A23 12V battery. I have a relay setup on my Webcontrol board to use the remote.

My question is how can I hookup the board so I can use the 5V output to activate the remote switch without the battery? Any ideas would bw helpful.

Thanks,
Mike

What is the Voltage powering your relays and/or webcontrol board, can you use that source? Maybe the remote will work as low as 9V.

As long as the power supply puts out 12V, and power supply current is not less than the load, it should be fine.

Use a voltmeter to make sure the output from power supply is 12V and polarity is correct. It is always better safe than sorry.
