wireless trouble

Please help, this is my first post here. I have an ELK-M1EZ8 installed, and I cannot get my wireless receiver a caddx 548 to register with the M1. It blinks green when powered up, but will not show up on keypad under menu 14 wireless.

Also when I activate a wireless sensor, the light blinks green, but nothing else happens.

What firmware are you using? There are two different versions of the firmware for the ELK panels. If the first digit starts with a 4 it is for the GE Receiver. If the first digit is a 5 it is for the ELK Receiver.

I believe that is why. If you want to use the GE Receiver you will need to reflash your panel with the latest firmware that starts with a 4 from Elk Products website. Did you register your panel and get ELK-RP and a password to download firmware updates?

I just submitted the form on the ELK website, looks like I will have to wait until tomorrow to get a copy of ELK RP so I can reflash the panel. While I was on there I did notice the 2 versions.
